Professional email on your domain
Create mailboxes like hello@yourbusiness.com with Thenexi email or your cPanel hosting, read mail in Thenexi, set up phones, and stop emails going to spam.
You can have email two ways: Thenexi email (we host the mailboxes) or cPanel email (mailboxes on your own hosting). Both can be read in Thenexi's Inbox and used to send campaigns and outreach.
Thenexi email
- Email β Thenexi email β Add a domain for email, and enter a domain you own (e.g. yourbusiness.com).
- Prove you own it: add the record shown. If Thenexi manages your DNS, this is automatic.
- Add the mail records shown (MX, SPF, DKIM). If the domain already receives email elsewhere, remove the old MX records β mail goes to one provider only.
- Click New mailbox, choose the address (e.g. hello@) and a display name β Create mailbox.
cPanel email (your own hosting)
- Email β cPanel email β Connect. In cPanel create an API token (Security β Manage API Tokens) and paste your cPanel address, username and the token.
- Click New email to create a mailbox, e.g. hello@yourbusiness.com. Mailboxes created here are connected to Thenexi automatically.
- For an existing mailbox, click Read in Thenexi and enter its password once.
Read and send in Thenexi
Email β Inbox: pick a mailbox, read, Reply, Reply all, Forward or New email. Add a Signature once.
Phones and Outlook
Click Set up devices on a mailbox for the server settings (username = full email address, password = the mailbox password).
Stop emails going to spam
Your domain needs three DNS records:
- SPF β which servers may send for your domain.
- DKIM β a signature proving the email is really yours. In cPanel: Email β Email Deliverability β Manage β install DKIM.
- DMARC β what receivers do with failing email.
Without DKIM, many emails (especially outreach and campaigns) land in spam.
